Boating Fun

Thought that we'd take the boat out today.  Make the most of this sunny Easter weekend (that was predicted to be so wet and terrible).  Jack had his friend Johan join us.  It was nice to have someone to share the fun with.

Visit to Andrea, Paul and Asha's New House

Yesterday we visited Aunty Andrea, Uncle Paul and Asha at their new home in Upper Hutt.
The kids had a fun time checking out the chickens, playing cricket and riding around the paddocks investigating.  They have a wonderful home in a very peaceful area.  Well done ..... the two year hunt was worth the wait.

Good Friday Fun

We continued the fun family tradition of baking Hot Cross Buns on Good Friday.  Mum and Dad; Mel, Renee and Zoe came over.  We drew teams out of hats and made four different varieties; traditional, breadmaker traditional, chocolate chip x 2.  The house smelt amazing and everyone finished the bake off with full bellies!

Boulcott School Swimming Fun Day

Yesterday was the School Fun Day at Naenae Pool.  Every child had to participate in at least one race.  Although Daniel did his term lessons in the big pool the middles raced in the junior pool.  He had a lot of fun, but it wasn't too challenging.  William did well too.  There were a lot of strong swimmers to compete against!  Here's some shots I took:

Last Tennis Game Of The Season

Today was an early rise heading off to Eastbourne for our last tennis match of the season.  We had a close game with it being 3 games each.  It all came down to sets and we had 7 and they had 6.  We've had such a cool time play early each Saturday morning.

ESCAPEE

One very wet escaping Beagle returns home.  I let him out of the run and within seconds he'd done a bunk.  Not sure how, or where, as I've managed to keep him in recently.  Anyway plan to let him suffer for a bit outside in the drizzly rain!

Weet-Bix Triathlon; 19 Feb 2012

William and Daniel both completed the Weet-bix Triathlon today with heaps of energy and enthusiasm.  We were so proud of them both, especially Daniel’s last minute change of mind (a bit of family peer-pressure perhaps).  Will did an amazing swim – we wondered where the speed, breathing and streamlined body came from.  His swimming lessons must be working.

Jack and Olivia were wonderful support with cheering and encouragement along with speedy running between parts of the course.

Both of the boys handled the bike ride with ease and completed the final stretch of the run with a speedy sprint to the finish line.  It was an early start, but well worth it.

I’m so pleased with both of you.  Well done.
