Good fun reliable boat

4.5 metres (14.5 feet) on recently overhauled trailer.

Motor: 1994 Oil Injected Johnson 70 hp

Well maintained with recent full service and receipts.

The trailer is registered and warranted and has brand new wheels, rollers, and led submersible lights.

The boat travels well in most conditions. Well looked after and cleaned after each use.

We hadn't intended to sell the boat and have just last week picked up the upgraded trailer. We've really enjoyed this boat. Definitely a great way to play as a family .... water skiing, knee boarding, biscuit, fishing and cruising.

New Boat ...

"How can Todd look this happy?" you ask.  Well that's a result of a dream and a very hair raising Trade me auction on Friday night!!

This all lead onto an early start (5.20am) for the Follett family on Saturday morning as we got up and headed North to collect our new purchase ...

FAMILY BOAT, RARELY USED. USED ONLY ON LAKE TAUPO.

We drove to Palmerston North, waited for the bank to open and then continued on to Turangi.  Checked the boat, paid the money and then headed home.  Arrived back at 6pm, getting Olivia to work not too late considering!

Sunday saw the opening of the Wellington Water Ski Club for the season and the Follett's eagerly headed to the Club hoping to get the boat in the water.  Unfortunately it was a strong southerly and we had to wait from 10.30 am - 3.00 pm before the water was okay.

That was fine as the AGM was on at lunchtime.  We met a nice group of people and here you now see new Committee Member, Todd Follett (membership officer).  We're so proud of him for stepping up and putting himself out there for the betterment of our boating community!

Jack had to leave the Club to head off on his five day hockey tournament in Levin.  We really missed him during the afternoon as it was such a family orientated adventure.  I'm sure that he'll enjoy his first time out all the same :)

The water finally died down and Todd felt comfortable in launching the new boat into the harbour.  He took it for a ride and all was well.

It was then time for the rest of the family to climb aboard.  We zoomed into Wellington, pocked our nose into Oriental Bay and then around to Evans Bay.  The water was nice, however it was a bit cold .... and a lot faster than Deirdre had planned!

Once we left there we came around the Eastbourne side of Sommes Island and back to the Ski Club.  It was certainly a lot easier than our other boat.  I wonder who will be keen to have the first ski?
